Case Study    Australia Post

World Youth Day 2008

Australia Post, the nation’s most prominent and successful postal service, had issued a collectible stamp edition for World Youth Day and asked Curtis Australia to assist in creating a suitable personal memento for the occasion.

This was a confidential and time critical project, meaning we worked closely with Australia Post to create prototypes under strict embargo.

Drawing upon the World Youth Day Logo for design cues, Curtis Australia was able to propose several concepts for silver and gold pendants that met Australia Post’s design criteria to include functionality and form.

The end result was a collection of stunning pendants that captured the essence of the logo design beautifully while being elegant, fashionable and luxurious, presented in customised packaging.

It is an indicator of Curtis' high quality standards that none of the hundreds of pendants were returned under warranty.

World Youth Day took place in Sydney in 2008 and saw over 1 million people attend.
